Our History

  • Our school was founded in 2010.
  • We have experience in organizing 18 major events that took place in Lviv (Ukraine), Karaganda (Kazakhstan), and Buenos Aires (Argentina).
  • Our students come from 28 countries: Algeria, Argentina, Belarus, Bulgaria, Great Britain, Sakartvelo (Georgia), Kazakhstan, Canada, Kyrgyzstan, China, Moldova, Germany, Poland, Russia, Romania, Serbia, Slovakia, Slovenia, the USA, Turkey, France, Croatia, the Czech Republic, and Brazil.
  • Since 2020, the International Ukrainian School ‘Step to Ukraine’ has started to offer an option of online classes.
  • Since 2021, our school has held sessions twice a year – in winter and summer

Who  can participate in our school?

Our programs welcome a diverse range of individuals, including foreigners, Ukrainians residing beyond Ukraine, international students engaged in Ukrainian language courses at universities, and anyone passionate about Ukrainian language. Participants must be at least 16 years old to join our online classes or 18 to participate in our offline summer and winter schools.

Online School

  • 2-week intensive Ukrainian as a foreign language course for international students at levels A1 – C2.
  • Daily classes in small groups of up to 4 students (90 minutes each).
  • Daily conversational practice (60 minutes).
  • Weekend discussion clubs with well-known Ukrainians (90 minutes).
  • Individual classes (optional).
  • Two schedule options (Kyiv time): 10 a.m. and 3 p.m.
  • Virtual Ukrainian-speaking environment with teachers, organizers, and school students.
  • Live virtual tours of artists’ studios, laboratories, and workshops.
  • Discover Ukrainian art innovations.

Offline School

  • A 2-week intensive Ukrainian as a foreign language course for students at levels A1 – C2.
  • Daily classes and conversational practices in small groups of up to 8 students (180 minutes each).
  • Individual classes (optional).
  • Ukrainian-speaking environment.
  • Meetings with prominent Ukrainians, including famous politicians, doctors, designers, artists, actors, directors, musicians, and poets.
  • Educational sightseeing tours, masterclasses, and quests.
  • Ukrainian film screenings, theater performances, gallery exhibitions, museum tours, and fair visits.
  • Educational weekend tours.
