Director of MIOK (IIEC), founder of our School, researcher and educator.

Iryna Kliuchkovska created and managed hundreds of research and public education projects and co-authored several textbooks on foreign languages and Ukrainian as a second language. She has been named an Honored Educator by the Government of Ukraine and holds the Order of Princess Olga.

Oksana Horda, Ph.D.

Teacher of Ukrainian as a foreign language at the International Ukrainian Summer School of IIEC «Step to Ukraine».

Oksana has a 20-years experience of teaching Ukrainian language. Since 2016 she has been teaching Ukrainian at the International Ukrainian Summer Schools of IIEC «Step to Ukraine». She has an experience of personalized online teaching through one-to-one tuition. Her scientific interests are: linguodidactics, terminology, history of Ukrainian language.

Nazar Danchyshyn, Ph.D.

Teacher of Ukrainian as a foreign language at the International Ukrainian Summer School of IIEC «Step to Ukraine».

Nazar has been teaching Ukrainian language since 2018 at the International Ukrainian Summer Schools of IIEC «Step to Ukraine». He is also a teacher of Ukrainian language in Lviv National Polytechnic University (since 2019). Nazar is a researcher of contemporary Ukrainian literature, a poet, rock musician and a journalist. During Summer School he conducts a course of contemporary Ukrainian culture in the context of study Ukrainian language.

«I love music and travelling. Every time I see or hear something new I discover that our world is amazing. I play the guitar in the rock band. I write poetry and read it in different cities of Ukraine and other European countries. I often take part and win in contests for writers. During my free time I like to write reviews of my favourite books and cinemas».

Oksana Trumko, Ph.D.

Teacher of Ukrainian as a foreign language at the International Ukrainian Summer School of IIEC «Step to Ukraine».

Oksana has a five-year experience of teaching Ukrainian. She has been also a teacher of Ukrainian language from 11th to 17th International Ukrainian Summer Schools of IIEC «Step to Ukraine». She has an experience of group and one-to-one tuition. Her course of Ukrainian as a foreign language includes 10 extremely interesting lessons, where students have the opportunity to choose from the list of topics that are relevant for them to study. In Oksana’s classes students read, listen, watch videos, write and communicate. Oksana uses many language games that model real communication. Oksana is an author of a number of scientific papers on methods of teaching Ukrainian as a foreign language.

Olya Rusnak, MSc

Coordinator, teacher of Ukrainian as a foreign language at the International Ukrainian Summer School of IIEC «Step to Ukraine», mentor of ethnic master-classes.

Olya is responsible for Summer School organization, contacts with students, the curriculum. She also conducts master-classes that involve the creation of ethno-style products, the study of Ukrainian traditional rituals, authentic dances, the preparation of traditional Ukrainian dishes and other interesting ethnic activities.

«I am interested in traditional culture of different nations and child psychology. I love outdoor activities. My biggest hobby is singing in a folk band. The best way to spend my time is being with family and my dog on a desert island with tents, inflatable boats and fishing rods. A trip to Georgia is my dream which has come true and sign language learning is one of my dreams which I started to realize».

Philologist. Folklorist. Teacher of Ukrainian language and literature. Candidate of Philological Sciences (Ph. D). I love my Ukrainian language, literature, culture, folk customs, traditions and songs. I will be happy to share my knowledge with those who want to learn Ukrainian and learn a lot about Ukraine.

Galyna Boyko, Ph.D.

Teacher of Ukrainian as a foreign language at the International Ukrainian Summer School of IIEC «Step to Ukraine».

Teacher of the Ukrainian language as a foreign language since 2001 at the Department of Foreign Languages of the Lviv Polytechnic National University. Work experience of more than 20 years, in groups of levels A1 – C2. Author of 5 textbooks on the Ukrainian language as a foreign language of technical universities. Co-author of “Standardized requirements for levels of proficiency in the Ukrainian language as a foreign language A1-C2”.

«I can confidently say: “Knowledge of foreign languages is the key to success in the modern world. He who knows languages, owns the world.” In general, a person who knows languages is a well-rounded personality, has better abilities to learn new things, is freer and more confident in communicating with people. An old proverb says: “The more languages you know, the more you are a person.” After all, each language is a key that opens the door to something of its own, to something new.
I am fond of music, I play the bandura – the Ukrainian national instrument, I travel with a bandura band to represent Ukraine, culture, and songs beyond its borders. I like to communicate, read, studies, learn about everything new in this world».

Romaniia Strotska, MSc

Teacher of Ukrainian as a foreign language at the Internation Ukrainian Summer School of IIEC «Step to Ukraine»

Romaniia is a new member of our team who will join us this year for the first time. She is open-minded and has a wide circle of interests and hobbies, including journalism, podcasting, and literary criticism.

Olena Mytsko, MSc

Teacher of Ukrainian as a foreign language at the International Ukrainian Summer School of IIEC «Step to Ukraine».

Olena has been teaching Ukrainian language since 2016 at the International Ukrainian Summer Schools of IIEC «Step to Ukraine». Mainly she taught students with the beginner language level. Together they made interesting and unforgettable «first steps» to learning Ukrainian. She has an experience of personalized on-line teaching through one-to-one tuition.

«My hobby is reading. Most of all I like to read books based on real stories. I like to read fiction books where the real story is mixed with author`s vision.  After that, I search in different sources real facts and compare them. Travelling is the best pastime for me. Direction doesn`t matter, matter only mood and company».

Galyna Temnyk, MSc

Teacher of Ukrainian as a foreign language at the International Ukrainian Summer School of IIEC «Step to Ukraine».

Research associate of MIOK. Halyna holds a master’s degree in philology (Ukrainian language and literature). At the Summer school, she teaches Ukrainian as a foreign language. Halyna’s scientific interest is the lexical and grammatical system of the Ukrainian language, in particular those aspects that contribute to the development of the educational discipline Ukrainian as a foreign language. She is interested in teaching methods, functional grammar, and innovative technologies.

«I get pleasure from creating educational books, textbooks on Ukrainian as a foreign language. I admire the modern art of creating books. I belong to book lovers. I can’t live without music. I sincerely believe that dreams do come true, so I do not stop in this process and encourage everyone».

Designer at the International Ukrainian Summer School of IIEC «Step to Ukraine».

Iryna has experience of creating the visuals and branding of cultural and educational projects and events of the Institute, layout and design of books and manuals on the Ukrainian language as a foreign language and other publications of the Institute.
